V Day

The Monday before Valentine's Day I started leaving little cheesy gifts for the girls and Josh and continued through the week leading up to Valentine's Day. I got the ideas from here and here. The girls couldn't wait to run downstairs every morning to see their surprise. I had a cookie bouquet, books and chocolates waiting for them Friday morning :) I sure love my little girls.

Natalee had her V Day party at school Thursday.
She gave everyone Frozen valentines taped to a box of conversational hearts.
She had the best time and loved carrying around her bag filled with valentines from all of her friends.

Haylee I made everyone in her class loom band bracelets with little tags that say "I'm so glad weave become friends."
Of course that idea came from Pinterest too and making 29 bracelets was quite the chore. She brought home a shoe box filled with valentines and love notes from her friends too.
Brings back so many memories, I loved Valentine's day when I was in school.

That night be made our heart shape pizza from Papa Murphy's. Fun little tradition we started last year.
Josh and I don't go all out for Valentine's Day, but if it's an excuse for a date night we're all for it! He did give me beautiful flowers, a coupon book (good for dinner, movies, shopping etc) and a gift certificate for a pedicure, I am loved.
I treated him to dinner (yes I used my hard earned money) and we enjoyed a yummy dinner of teriyaki steak, salad, potatoes and our favorite, Wallaby Darned. I always say I want to try a new restaurant but we just love Outback. I don't need a fancy, expensive steakhouse, Outback is my favorite. After dinner we decided to do some shopping to get some stuff for our cruise. I really wanted to see Endless Love but we'll do that another day.

And then I woke up with a cold and my happy weekend was over.
