Fall Activites

The last 3 weekends we have been out and about enjoying this beautiful fall weather. We've been to Mother Nature's Farm, DeWitt Stables and the Halloween Spooktacular Balloon Event. The girls have had a blast!

Our first pumpkin patch was Mother Nature's Farm and it was a lot of fun.
I love my little pumpkins!
Aside from the bounce house, I think the girls favorite part was feeding the animals carrots.
Or maybe it was decorating their pumpkins with stickers. Haylee covered just about every square inch of her pumpkin.
Natalee slapped on a few stickers and was ready for more fun!
Then it was time for the hay maze, tractor ride and face painting.
We always have such a fun time at Mother Nature's Farm!
Our 2nd pumpkin patch was DeWitt Stables.
We went last year for the 1st time and loved it. It's different from the rest of the pumpkin patches because a) you get to ride horses/ponies
and b) you get to touch all the animals and not just feed them or look at them through a fence.

The girls loved the train/barrel rides too. As soon as they got back from ride #1 Natalee said "again!".
The pumpkin patch was lacking a variety of pumpkins but we weren't there for pumpkins so we didn't mind. We loved the hay ride to the pumpkin patch though!

The girls also went in the bounce house and ran around the corn maze. Once again, a fun time was had by all!

This past weekend we took the girls to the Halloween Spooktacular Balloon Event which we've never been too. The girls dressed up in their costumes and I thought they looked so frickin' adorable.
Natalee is a batarina.
Haylee is a witch and her dress lights up.
It was a neat experience for the girls to walk up to hot air balloons to trick-or-treat.
But aside from the trick-or-treating there wasn't much for the girls to do. We ate, walked around the vendor booths and both girls survived a trip to the porta potty with help from Super Mom and her awesome sanitary skills!

Next month is going to be the calm before the December "activities" storm. Can't wait!!

Bathroom Makeover

Part of being a BzzAgent means I get to try products for free! I received my first BzzCampaign last month and with that I got a free gallon of Benjamin Moore Aura Waterborne paint. Since there are only 2 rooms in our house that were never painted I knew right away which room I would do. I decided to give the girls bathroom a makeover! I bought them the cutest under the sea/fishy decor and picked a blue color (Bahaman Sea Blue) to match.

These are the before pictures...
And these are the after...
I love how it turned out! The paint was super easy to apply, I did 2 coats and I love the fresh look of it. I would definitely recommend this paint and I do have $5 off coupons I would love to send you if you decide to try it out.

If you aren't a bzzmember, I highly suggest you sign up. It's free, you get to try stuff free and it's super easy.

Haylee the Cheerleader

Skyline Varsity Cheer had a fundraiser that included Haylee learning some cheers and performing at their game last Friday. She looked so cute and did great despite the fact she was very shy.

The fundraiser also includes a dance clinic next month where she learns a dance and performs at the dance concert. Can't wait to see how great she does!

California Vacation- Part 2

Sunday we spent the morning at Mission Beach.

Both girls were afraid of the water and didn't want to go anywhere near it. But they liked watching the boys surf.
Haylee just wanted to collect sea shells and build a sand castle mound.
Natalee liked playing with the sand.
I'm so glad I brought baby powder to get all the sand off them. Too bad it doesn't work well for their hair!
After beach time, we went to Long Beach to eat at Bubba Gumps. Haylee tried popcorn shrimp for the first time and liked it. They also liked their "Run Forrest Run" smoothie.
There was a Forrest Gump look alike walking around talking to people. Looked just like him!

Monday was the BIG day...Disneyland!!!
Our plan was to go right back to Toon Town to get character pictures but we got side track by all the Princess' and Merida from Brave so we didn't end up in Toon Town till a couple hours later.
The girls got their pictures withTinkerbell,
Cinderella,
Sleeping Beauty,
Snow White,

Merida,
Ariel,
Tiana
and Mulan.
Each Princess took their time talking to the girls and asking them questions, it was super cute. Natalee wasn't afraid of them at all except Mulan. She told me "no picture with her."
We went on It's a Small World then headed to Toon Town where the girls got their picture with Goofy, Minnie and Mickey.
By that time we were due for a potty and food break. The ride lines were getting long (about 30 min wait times) so we skipped the Toon Town rides and went straight to Fantasyland.
We rode some rides there and then waited in line forever to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. The girls had so much fun!
Next we watched the parade which was a lot of fun. We had awesome seats!
After our tradition picture with the girls we decide it was time to just ride rides, no more distractions.
From there we went on Pirates of the Caribbean, Nemo Submarine, Toy Story Astro Blaster, Mattahorn, Haunted Mansion and the Pooh ride. We ate dinner, watched Fantasmic, the fireworks and left. Both girls passed out in line for the shuttle back to the parking garage.
We did everything we wanted to with the exception of 4 rides which we planned on doing our 3rd day but never made it back. There's always next time.
Tuesday we spent the day at California Adventure. Haylee went on Soarin' Over California for the first time and liked it, but her favorite ride was the new Ariel ride.
We also rode the rockets, Haylee went on the Jumpin' Jellyfish,
we went on the Mickey Fun Wheel,
Toy Story Mania, King Triton's Carousel and then headed to Cars Land. Oh, and got the girls picture with Jessie.

The Radiator Springs Racers were a 90 minute wait and Natalee couldn't even go on them so we skipped that. We did go on the other 2 rides and I liked the Mater ride.

From there we watched the Disney Junior show, got pictures with Goofy and Pluto,
watched the parade and then the Aladdin show where Natalee took a nap. Rode a couple rides in Bugs Land, ate dinner and headed for the World of Color. By that time I had heard about Jackson not doing well so I really didn't enjoy the World of Color. I was very sad. The girls both really liked it though and Natalee kept saying "pink water!"

Wednesday we drove home. Seems like we just couldn't get home fast enough. And the rest I'd rather not relive....
