Friday Ramblings

So I skipped my Friday Ramblings last week because I was too busy getting ready for a birthday party and I didn't have time to ramble. I also skipped My Weekly Deals but that's because I didn't have time to hunt down deals last week. But....I'm back on track now!

I spent this week taking kiddos to last minute doctor/dentist appointments. Our current insurance runs out tomorrow and we won't have our new insurance till August 1st. Yes, I'm nervous and yes my kids are living in a bubble till then.

This morning I ran some errands with the girls. Library, Circle K, 99 Store & Safeway. I'm slowly getting out more and more and I love it. Too bad it'll be 120 degrees soon and I'll be back to staying home everyday.

Josh went to the eye doctor recently and picked out his first pair of glasses. He has needed them for quite some time and finally got them. They haven't came in yet but I may post a picture once he gets them :)

Josh is doing his first vendor event tonite at the San Tan Heights Carnival. He'll have his little booth set up signing people up for Dish Network and Direct TV. Helping people save money!

Haylee girl is still in the no cavity club. Details on that to follow soon.

Haylee's attitude has hit and all time high these past 2 weeks. She screams at me, argues with me and is mean to her sister. I don't know what to do with her.

Haylee & I went to my niece's dance recital last night. She did great and Haylee had fun finding her on stage and watching all the girls dance. She said she wants to take dance lessons now.

Natalee has been dealing with her molars coming in and hasn't been too happy about that.

Natalee is also walking more and more and even has a new bruise on her forehead to prove it! Daddy said she hit the chair.

Jackson got a shower this week. He's loosing his winter coat and is as furry as can be. HIS HAIR DRIVES ME NUTS. Too bad I remembered Josh took the hand held sprayer off after I already had Jackson in the shower. Turned out to be an adventure to say the least.

Tomorrow we plan on going to Home Depot to get some new plants since some of ours never came back from the winter freeze. Haylee wants a rose bush.

Looks like we might also be tv shopping because our big screen has bit the dust. Haylee was watching a new movie I rented for her today and I thought I accidentally got a 3D movie. Nope, just the dumb tv going out. I told Josh we should just invest in 3D glasses because they're cheaper.

Josh doesn't know it yet, but I'm planning a GNO tomorrow night with my Mom. A much needed break is in order. I think we're gonna go see Soul Surfer.

That's all the rambling I have time for because my sweet little Natalee is awake from her nap!

Natalee's ONE Year old!

Oh my has this year flown by. I can't believe my sweet baby N is already ONE. She went from a 7 lb. 2 oz. LITTLE bundle of joy, to a 23 lb. 6 oz. BIG girl! Oh, and she is now 30 1/4 inches long!

Things to remember~
*Still wearing size 3 diaper but only to use up the last few. Those buggers are getting tight!
*Wearing 12 month clothes.
*Has 1 pair of shoes that fit those chubby little feet and they are a size 4.
*Has 8 teeth and her first set of molars are getting ready to pop through on the bottom.

*We've got a little walker on our hands. She's not an "exclusive" walker yet but she's been taking more and more steps without holding onto anything. Just in the last couple days I've watched her take 4-5 steps by herself and she does it all day long. She is being very cautious with the whole walking thing.
*Her newest phrase is "uh oh". I love it!
*When I ask her if she wants to eat or if she wants more to eat she shakes her head yes. Cutest thing ever.
*She's a climber! She climbs on her little chair and then onto the couch laughing hysterically and looks at me like "haha look what I did!"

*She's in a stranger danger phase. She cries if anyone except me, Josh or my Mom holds her.
*She is such a clown. She is constantly doing funny things and then clapping her hands because she knows how funny and cute she is.
*Hasn't had a bottle in over a week. She drinks real milk out of a sippy cup and she loves it. She's also had juice/water only when "needed".
*Eats anything and everything that is safe for her to have. Loves fruit, veggies, pasta, crackers, puffs, cinnamon rolls and cheerios. She has started learning to eat with a spoon but still needs a lot of practice!

*Takes 2 naps a day. The first one is usually 2 hours after she wakes up and she sleeps 1 1/2-2 hours. The 2nd nap is usually 3 hours after she wakes up from her morning nap and that one is 1 1/2-2 hours also. At night she has been sleeping about 11 hours. She was waking up around 8am each morning for quite awhile but lately it's been closer to 7am. She has always been an awesome sleeper.
*She went to Vegas for the 2nd time to see her Papa and Grandma Kris. They had a little birthday party for Natalee and their other grandkids with April birthdays. While we were there we went to Circus Circus, the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, M&M World, the City Center, Bellagio and Bass Pro Shops to name a few places.

*We went to Disney on Ice but Natalee didn't want to hold still and watch the show so she spent most of the time in the lobby with Daddy.
*We went to lunch and the mall with my friend April and her little boy Andrew. We also went to the library this month.

*Natalee had a wonderful birthday party. She squealed in excitement while opening her gifts and loved her giant cupcake.
*Celebrated her 1st Easter. Liked doing egg hunts, didn't like the Easter Bunny, but loved playing with her slinkie and other toys in her basket.

Happy Birthday Sweetheart

What happened to my newborn Natalee? This 7 lb. 2 oz. little bundle of joy?

What happened to the little baby who fit in the palm of her Daddy's hand?
What happened to the little baby I put in my hospital gown that slept on my chest?
What happened to the little baby I wrapped up in a swaddle who slept next to me in her bassinet? The one I would wake up to feed in the middle of the night?
What happened to the little baby I carried around in a sling?
She's all grown up now! She walks around the house, gets into everything and likes to eat ice cream. This is her tonight eating chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream for her birthday.

Poor little Natalee is fast asleep after a rough day. She is getting her bottom molars and mean Mommy scheduled her 1 year well visit today and she had to get 3 shots. (That's not really my fault. We won't have insurance for 3 months starting Sunday so I really couldn't wait).

Happy Birthday to my not so little ONE year old! I am forever grateful for the sweet little miracle that we welcomed into this world on April 26th, 2010.

Natalee's 1st Birthday Party!

Natalee had a wonderful 1st Birthday party on Saturday! She was so happy, she squealed in excitement as she opened her presents and she devoured her giant cupcake. Everything was perfect!

We used the One-Derful 1st Birthday theme for Natalee. Bright colors, stars...super cute!
For lunch we had BBQ beef sandwiches, pasta salad and chips. Natalee stuck with the pasta salad and some of the bun.
Then it was present time.
Natalee got so excited over most of her gifts. It was so cute to see her squeal with excitement and make funny noises each time she opened something. It was also funny that she chucked the clothes on the floor. Nothing else, just clothes.
I think her favorites (just by the excitement when she opened it) were her baby doll, card (and gift card) from Roxie and her Singamajig.
Those were ones I remember her being very vocal about. Other favorites include her monkey ball, little people figurines, blocks, talking/singing puppy, activity table and her littler Bullseye (as long as it doesn't make noises or she's afraid of it).
Almost everything she opened went in her mouth.
After presents we sang Happy Birthday and brought out the traditional giant cupcake.
Unlike Haylee's 1st birthday, Natalee was not scared one bit. She literally dug in! She grabbed it with both hands and just shoved it in her face repeatedly.

She had the best time. After about 5 minutes the cupcake was crumbled into pieces and I had to pull her away from it to clean her up.
She had cake and frosting EVERYWHERE. In her hair, up her nose, all over her shirt, on her tutu...everywhere. But she sure had fun.
I had so much fun putting together Natalee's party. It was fun decorating, seeing family and seeing the excitement on my little girls face. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

Hoppy Easter

We started getting ready for Easter on Thursday.

Haylee and I made Easter cookies and she had so much fun putting the sprinkles on.
She liked the pink and purple sprinkles because they sparkle.

Today we woke up and saw the Easter Bunny came!
We did an egg hunt first which Natalee loved.
She was so excited to be part of all the fun.
Haylee and Hannah raced around the house finding every last almost every hidden egg.
Jackson technically found the last egg and a couple others too.
We had a hard time keeping him from joining in the girls egg hunt.
We then had breakfast and then I hid eggs for Jackson to find all by himself and boy was he happy. Just like every year, he found all of his eggs, opened them and ate the treat. He's such a smart little boy!

Then we were off to Grandma's to dye eggs.
Haylee and Hannah had fun dropping the eggs in and watching them turn colors.

They were both excited to see all of the pretty colors.
Natalee was interested too.
She tossed (literally) a couple eggs in to be dyed herself.
Then she proceeded to smash it in her hand and watch egg crumble everywhere!
Maybe next year baby N. Haylee was sure proud of all of her beautiful eggs!

Basket time!
I loved that I didn't have to buy one thing for their baskets this year. I pulled out the Target bag with toys I bought at the after Easter sale last year and viola.....Easter on the Freap!
I guess I should add that I did get "fresh" candy for their baskets this year, but I didn't have to buy it :)

I then attempted pictures of my beautiful little girls in their Easter dresses.
I have no clue how people get 2 kids to look at the camera. I mean, I'm not even asking for both of them to smile, just both kids looking at the camera would be nice! My favorite is definitely Haylee giving her sister a kiss. So sweet!

Our new Easter tradition will be going to Bass Pro Shop. We went their to see the Easter Bunny and it turned out to be a lot of fun. There was no line to see the Easter Bunny. As you can see, Natalee was terrified just like I thought she would be.
But once Mommy sat next to the Easter Bunny, then he was okay I guess.
Haylee was pretty scared too but she did good and then she was very proud of herself. "See Mom, he's not scary at all. He's so cute." Bass Pro even had an egg hunt going on so we were able to find eggs that were hidden all over the store. The girls turned their eggs in for candy. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely do that again next year.

Easter dinner was hosted by Cracker Barrel this year. I've only eaten there once before but my Mom loves that place. Dinner was super yummy and Natalee loved the green beans, macaroni and cheese, and apples. She of course started screeching so loud (her new thing) and the couple next to us switched tables. Nice. I hope this phase ends fast. After dinner we shopped in the gift shop which is my favorite part about Cracker Barrel. They have cute gifts and old fashioned candy. Love it!

The girls had a wonderful day. They loved their baskets, had fun doing egg hunts, tolerated the Easter Bunny and are now fast asleep!
