Cruise- February 2015

We went on a fabulous cruise to the Southern Caribbean aboard Carnival Valor. This was Dustin & Hannah's first cruise and we had had a wonderful time.

We flew over to San Juan a day early so we could explore there before boarding the ship on Sunday. We visited the Castillo San Cristobal Fort and walked around the town. There were tons of cats everywhere!
I loved all the different colored buildings.
We boarded the ship that night and headed to our first stop, St Thomas.
In St Thomas we went to Coral World.
After that, we went to Butterfly Gardens.
After we got back on board the ship, the girls participate in the Dr Seuss parade. Natalee was so excited to hold the Lorax sign. She even got a baby Lorax in the gift shop.
And then it was time to set sail and say goodbye to St Thomas!
The girls got their face painted at Camp Carnival and it was time to call it a night.
Tuesday was a day at sea and we started the day off having breakfast with Dr. Seuss and his friends. Talk about a fun experience! The food was based off the Dr. Seuss books and unique.

Wednesday we spent the day in Barbados. We took a yacht out and snorkeled with the turtles!
Thursday was probably one of my favorite days. We just grabbed a tour guy last minute who took us all over the island of St Lucia. We had the nicest driver, Moses, and he made sure we had a wonderful time. We stopped to see the Pitons, tried the local beer, bought cute souvenirs from people on the side of the road and tried banana chips and banana ketchup. We also went to the Rum Factory where were able to try as much as we wanted of several different liquors (some of us left a little tipsy). I bought the most delicious Coconut Cream liquor bottle right in Marigot Bay.
That night we had a monkey hanging in our room.
Friday we spent the day in St Kitts. Again, we found a driver to take us around showing us the most popular things on the island and giving us information as we went. This quickly became our favorite way of exploring the ports. The guys tried the local beer once again and I tried a yummy rum punch. A big tourist attraction is the many monkeys you see everywhere. The girls loved being able to hold one.
That night we had the cutest little turtle towel animal.
Saturday we spent the day in St Maarten and again had a wonderful time driving around the island. We saw the beautiful beaches (which happen to be partially nudest), the awesome airplane beach, went to a yummy pastry shop and got to shop for souvenirs. I got my first pair of diamond studs earrings! We also got to try the delicious Guavaberry Rum. We bought a huge drink and were informed we couldn't bring it on the boat so we had to chug it. Just my Mom and I. Needless to say, we felt very "off" getting back on the boat that day.
That night we got a cute rabbit towel animal. We also had a very tired little girl!
Sunday we docked and went straight to the airport to come home. It was such a wonderful week and we brought back so many memories. And of course, we got the traditional cruise portraits.
