Mother Natures Farm

We took the girls to Mother Nature's Farm last weekend.

This was the first time we have gone. The girls had fun seeing the animals.

and feeding them.

Then Haylee picked out a pumpkin for her and sister,

and she decorated hers.

We also went on a hayride which for some reason Natalee loved.

After eating a little snack (nachos and cotton candy) Haylee went through the maze (and did awesome)

and then we picked a big pumpkin to bring home and decorate.

I love this time of year, I just wish it would cool down to feel more like fall.

Fair

Oh, the AZ State Fair.

Rides, games, corn dogs, and Indian fry bread! This year, we did the fair cheap!

Just like last year, we went on Wednesday which is $1 rides and games day. Haylee got to ride a lot of rides and had tons of fun.

Natalee even rode the pink elephant.

Haylee also likes to play games, and win prizes.

Aside from $1 rides and games, we got free parking at admission thanks to Josh's Uncle who works there! Thanks Richard :) As we start cutting back on things, I'm realizing there are tons of things to do for free and discounted. And the best part, the girls still have a lot of fun!

Time Out

Natalee was sent to time out last week.

She thinks it's fun to take her teething irritation out on me while nursing. I tell her no, and then she repeatedly clenches down, rips off and stares at my for a response. Lil' Stinker.

*Obviously she really wasn't put in time out.

6 Months

My sweet little Natalee is 6 months old today. Halfway to one year old! I can't believe how big she is getting.

Weighs 18 lbs. 6 oz. 90%
Height 27 inches 90%

Things to remember-

*Wearing size 3 diapers.

*Wearing mostly 6 month clothes.

*She's rollin', rollin' rollin'. Front to back, back to front, all over the place!

*I no longer swaddle her at night. When she started rolling over I'd swaddle her with her arms out but now I just put her in sleepers. She looks so cute and cozy and I just wanna snuggle her. She'll usually sleep 11-12 hours at night, sometimes on her back, sometimes on her belly.

*Her naps vary each day. Most days she'll take 3 naps. 1- 1 1/2 and then maybe a couple 40-60 minute ones. Other days she'll take 2 long ones anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours. She is my good little sleeper.

*Her eyes are still blue but now have almost a brownish tint around the middle. So maybe she'll have hazel eyes?

*She is still nursing. I met my goal of breastfeeding till she was 6 months old! Although she is not exclusively breastfed, it's better than nothing. I will continue on till I have nothing left.

*She loves food...bet you couldn't tell. She has had rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes and pears. She's also tried little bites of other food here and there.

*She is starting to get the hang of her sippy cup. At first she'd just chew on it, but now she realizes if she sucks, she'll get water and she thinks that is awesome!

*She has almost outgrown her bouncer and swing.

*I introduced her to her jumperoo. She doesn't jump in it but she likes to play with the toys and little gadgets it has.

*She has this big time cowlick right in the front of her head. I've tried to comb it the other way and "correct" it, but no such luck.

*Still our happy baby. Once in awhile her mouth with hurt and she's not so happy, but for the most part she is chill and laid back.

*No teeth yet, but I'm thinking soon.

*Loves to laugh and scream. Always talking and making noises.

*When you tickle her belly she sceams and belly laughs. I love it.

*Loves her big sister. Haylee always makes her laugh. Haylee will lean against her and Natalee will scream "ahhh" then laugh. It cracks me up. I love when they play nice together. Well Haylee anyway. Natalee is always nice except when she is pulling hair but that is paybacks.

*Went to the zoo for the 1st time. Saw koalas, deer and other animals. Enjoyed the fresh air but a tad too warm still. We will be regulars at the zoo soon.

*Also went to her first Suns game. Got her picture with the Suns Dancers and even the Gorilla patted her on the back. After a short nap she was content to sit on my lap the rest of the time.

*Got to see her Papa & Grandma Nemo who came down from Vegas.

*Went to her 1st pumpkin patch. She liked the hayride and laughed and smiled the whole time. I showed her the animals and she watched sister decorate a pumpkin. She got a baby pumpkin too. She was very good the entire time, like always :)

Everyone continues to say they have the same "sweet little face" yet I guess I can't see past the hair.

Natalee & Haylee 6 months.

No Cavity Club

Last Thursday we took Haylee to a new dentist. Wow! I wish the dentist was that cool when I was a kid. When the called Haylee back, we went to do the x-rays first. While doing the x-rays, both dentist happened to walk by and both talked to Haylee, very sweet and friendly. Then she had her cleaning. I wish my cleaning only took 5 minutes. Then the dentist came in and told her she had very beautiful teeth, princess teeth.

They told her she is now a member of the no cavity club. She got her picture taken for their digital frame that hangs under the "No Cavity Club" banner, she got a coupon for a free ice cream at Cold Stone, a punch card saying that after 4 no cavity visits she gets a free spin toothbrush and she also got a special token. With that special token she got to pick whatever she wanted out of their toy machine. She chose a blue gecko. But, her favorite thing of all....the Ariel toothbrush and the green balloon she got. The whole way there she kept saying she wanted an Ariel toothbrush and I kept saying, "I doubt they have Ariel Haylee." But they did. Sweet Tooth, you rock!

My Lil' Artist

Did you know little Miss Haylee is an artist?

Just recently she started drawing stick figure type people. I laugh so hard everytime I see one, they are so adorable. She drew a picture of Natalee in a diaper,

a dolphin,

and her new favorite,

a wild thing off the movie Where The Wild Things Are. Look closely and you can even see his fuzzy hair! That's Haylee's new movie of the week. It's on repeat all day. Kinda funny since she use to be so afraid of it.

Anyway, what a lil' artist huh?

Special Visit

Guess who came to visit the girls last weekend?

Papa & Grandma Nemo were down here for a wedding so we got to spend a lot of time with them. We went to dinner, they came to Josh's baseball game, and Papa came over to spend time with the girls!

I love when the girls get to see their Papa, because the only other Papa they "know" is Papa Reggie in heaven that we send balloons too.

Sad

I'm sad. My sweet little baby will be 6 months old a week from today.

She is rolling all over the place and eating "real" food now.

Slow down sweet stuff. You're half way to your 1st birthday. Oh how I'll really cry that day for sure!

Zoo

Yay, it's zoo time again! It has been months since we've been there, can't imagine why! Last weekend we took the girls (Natalee's 1st time) to see the Koala's our zoo is housing for a couple months.

I call them our foreign exchange students! :) They are so cute. I just wish they did more than sleep 20 hours a day! but they are cute to look at.

We tried to get a family picture,

but Natalee was too distracted to look at the camera.

She preferred to watch the little deer run around,

and sit in "Ariel's" shell with sister.

Also, since we've been there last many new changes have taken place. They broke ground (and are probably halfway finished) on the new orangutan exhibit,

we got new baby Zebras,

and they moved the carousel, which about gave Haylee a heart attack! But I quickly asked someone and we found the carousels new "home". We also found out carousel rides are now only $1 for members! Yay :) So needless to say, these next 6-7 months will bring lots of visit to the zoo. I love when it cools down!
