Princess Night

Last Friday, Chick-Fil-A had a Princess Night at the mall. They did such an awesome job. Any kid who dressed up like a Princess got a free kids meal, a goodie bag and a free carousel ride. Haylee (who was Ariel, of course) got her picture with Belle,

and Cinderella.

Then, (my favorite)

with the cow. For so long she has been afraid of this cow so I was very surprised she wanted her picture with him. What a fun night!

Potty Chair Packup

This is my bragging post.

Haylee has now been potty trained for over a year.

I am so happy to report she has had NO ACCIDENTS the ENTIRE last year. None during naps, none at night, NONE! The only "accident" I can remember is when she missed the potty and peed in front of it. Heck, I'll take that!

Way to go Haylee girl. You are so awesome. You rock!!

Time to pack up the potty chair for Natalee. I hope she does as great as Haylee girl.

5 months

Yesterday, my sweet little girl turned 5 months old. Boo hoo is all I have to say.

Things to remember-

*Wearing size 2-3 diapers.

*Wearing 3-6 month clothes.

*She's rollin', rollin' rollin'.

*I still swaddle her at night but with her arms out now. Most nights she rolls right over and sleeps on her belly. She seems to sleep even better on her belly, sometimes 12 hours at night! Of course, Mommy is a little more nervous so I check on her often to make sure she's alright and I make sure to say an extra little prayer each night.

*She takes one long nap a day (sometimes two) and they're usually 2-3 hours long. Then she takes two 30-40 minute naps too. Just like at bedtime, I swaddle her with her arms out, rock her a few minutes, and put her in her crib awake, with her binkie (she usually spits out right away) and her crib music on.

*Still has big, blue eyes!

*Not only does she like her hands, she has discovered her toes and loves those too. She likes to hold onto them and when she is on the floor that's how her rollin' over starts.

*Lifts her head up so good when she's on her belly. She just looks all around.

*She still does the hokey pokey at night. She rolls all around and is at the opposite side of the crib every morning.

*Still nurses great!!!! (just wish I had more milk to give) My breastfeeding goal was 6 months and I'm very proud of this accomplishment. She still takes a bottle after almost every feeding but she's getting some breast milk and that is better than none!

*Likes her rice cereal. I think she likes food in general. I mean, look at those thighs! She likes ice cream too and she always watches me eat. I can't wait till she can have fruits and veggies next month.

*She's a very happy baby. She smiles and "talks" nonstop. I love when we have a conversation and she makes all sorts of sounds.

*She is ticklish. When we find her tickle spot (her ribs and underarms) she just belly laughs and it's so adorable.

*She usually only cries when she's hungry or tired.

*Lost most of the hair she was born with but now it's growing back!

*She prefers to stand more than sit and never likes to lay down!

*She loves her big sister. Haylee asks if Natalee can come in her room and play. She can always make her sister laugh.

Natalee & Haylee. Both at 5 months. I really don't think they look anything alike!

Rollin'

Natalee's rollin' rollin' rollin'! I got a video of her rolling over but blogger won't let me upload it for some reason. It's hard to get pictures because the second I lay her down she flips over!

She rolls from her back to her tummy.

She'll hick up her legs, grab her little toes with her hands, roll to her side,

then with allllll heeerrrr miiiiggghhht

she'll flip that little, chubby body of hers over.

Ta da! Oh, and she'll look at you with those big, blue eyes of hers.

And sometimes you'll even get a beautiful smile. Way to go Natalee girl!

My little helper

It seems I have quite the little helper in the coupon department.

She's always asking me if she can cut coupons. I guess she has seen me do it enough and it's rubbing off.

The whole family is gettin' in on the money savin' action now!!!

Sunsplash

I'm back! And, I promise never to neglect my blog again.

So the weekend before Labor Day we WON tickets to Sunsplash! I entered Josh and I into the contest thru 98.7 The Peak on Facebook and Josh was one of the lucky winners. 4 tickets baby! Josh actually volunteered to stay home with Natalee, so my mom and I took Haylee and Hannah.

We had a lot of fun.

Weather was great until the storm rolled in. Once the lightening started we had to get out of the water and they basically shut down. Bummer.

I was hoping to get a tan, maybe next time.

Of course, Haylee is sticking her tongue out. She's a sassy one!

Dear Blog,

I'm sorry I've neglected you. I promise to get back into the routine of blogging regularly. Right now I'm sick and trying not to spread it to everyone else. Thanks for understanding.

Love,
Me

Kite Time

On Sunday we took the girls to the park so Haylee Daddy could fly the new kite.

Haylee was entertained for about 2 minutes and then she wanted to play on the swings and slides.

Josh got the kite going great and it flew in the sky till we left.

We had fun, and I have mosquito bites to prove it. Stupid skeeters.

Rice Cereal

Natalee had her first taste of rice cereal last week.

I think

she

liked it!

Then she started sticking her hands in her mouth and it was all over from there.

She's doing really good with it now. She opens her mouth big and is learning how to actually get some in her tummy. What a big girl!
