Natalee's Minnie Party

Saturday was Natalee's Minnie Party! Or as Natalee likes to call it, "mimi".

Some details about her special day-

*The theme was Minnie's Bowtique so I stayed with pink and black for the decorations. We hung streamers, my mom made tissue paper "pom poms", and I blew up a few balloons. I decided last minute to make Mickey/Minnie garland for the walkway and it turned out so cute. Everything was kept simple and Natalee just loved it!
*We ate hotdogs, hamburgers, pasta salad, chips and watermelon. I'm pretty sure the birthday girl just ate watermelon but it was her special day so....
*After lunch it was present time. Natalee wasn't all too interested in opening her gifts and she threw the clothes right when she saw them. I think there was too much going on and she was just overwhelmed. She did love her singing Elmo and Minnie Table & Chairs and took note of those. Aside from that she got some cute clothes, Play-doh, books, Minnie, Elmo panties, swimsuit, Rio figurines and Jewel Angry Bird, Thomas the Train set and Mickey's Magic Choo Choo. She is spoiled...and loved!
*And then, the moment we've all been waiting for...the cupcake! Natalee didn't disappoint. She dug in just like last year. She was a little slow at first, being very neat.

Then about 20 minutes later, she was picking the whole thing up and taking big bites. She was so excited to finally have her "mimi cupcake".

I was going to make Minnie cupcakes for everyone but every single Oreo was broke, go figure. So I was able to make a few and then did the rest with just pink frosting.
*After all the partying was over, the kids played outside and the adults relaxed inside. It was a successful party and Natalee enjoyed every minute of it!
