Make A Wish Trip

We wanted to take Jackson on a little vacation and do something he enjoys so we decided on Payson. Everything just fell into place and it was meant to be. We stayed at Kohl's Ranch using our timeshare and then drove up to the rim Saturday. Jackson had a good time but I think he was exhausted by the time we got home!

We drove up Friday afternoon and thankfully Jackson did not get sick in the car. We put his bed in the back of the car so he'd have plenty of room but he preferred to ride half in the back and half in one of the girls' car seat.
When I checked in they handed me a welcome bag for Jackson. It included a sign for the door, his own sheet and a dog bone. Very thoughtful of them. We ate the dinner we picked up in Payson, got situated and went for a walk even though it was dark by that point. The resort lit a fire pit to roast marshmallows so we made smores. Jackson was super good and rarely barked/growled at anyone. He just seemed so happy to be there with us and walking around. When we got back to our room he jumped right up on the bed with his baby, just making himself at home.
Next time we are given a room with 2 double beds I am sleeping with Jackson because Haylee kicked/hit/layed on me all night long and I barely got any sleep! Natalee slept super good in her pack and play at the end of my bed and neither girl woke when Jackson had to go out in the middle of the night to potty.

Saturday we went for a walk around the property and the girls played in the playground. Jackson let all the kids pet him and enjoyed all the attention. My Mom, Hannah and Dustin came to our resort and we attempted some pictures. Of all people, JACKSON would not cooperate. He wouldn't hold still and he kept barking. He was a nut. As soon as Josh got out of the picture he calmed down a bit but he still didn't look at the camera (or keep his eyes open).
He is my sweet little boy and I am so thankful he behaved for ONE picture. This picture will have to be my source of comfort one day.
After that we headed up to the rim, found a spot to park and enjoyed a few hours up in the mountains. We ate lunch, the girls collected pine cones and Jackson walked all around. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the fresh, pine air.
Later on we decided to drive around and see our favorite "spots" and then headed back to our room.
We got dinner from the restaurant at the resort and called it a night. We were all so tired.
Sunday we loaded up the car, took one last walk along the creek and then headed home. It was a nice weekend but with 2 girls AND a dog, it was a little crazy. I kinda wanna make this an annual trip and try to stay in the same room (104) and I really hope Jackson will be here to join us next year.
Jackson's Make A Wish Trip = Success!
