Friday Ramblings

We are officially going to San Diego for a week in October!!!!! I booked everything the other night and I'm so excited. I bought the San Diego 3-For-1 tickets so we can go to Sea World, San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Wild Animal Park as many times as we want for 5 days. I'm in the early stages of planning what else we're going to do but going to the beach and walking around Seaport Village will probably be on the list. Our hotel (before we added 1 extra day) and the cost of our tickets was exactly (within a couple dollars) the amount of the escrow check we got in the mail last month. Is that perfect or what? It's totally meant to be.

Haylee just says the funniest things. Last night I said "Haylee do you want to eat breakfast with Shamu?" And she looked at me confused and said "what? Is he gonna like sit in the chair with us?" Me and Josh cracked up laughing.

Today she was playing with her Playdoh making cupcakes and she asked me what color of cupcake I wanted. I said "I'll have pink" and she said "well, that one is not on sale." When we go to the store and she sees something she wants she'll ask if it's on sale. If I tell her no, she puts it back. That's what I love about Haylee, she doesn't throw a fit when I tell her no.

She still asks if certain animals bite, but now she asks if they are boys or girls too. She doesn't know the "obviously" way to tell and I'm not telling her that for quite some time, but she thinks if they have eye lashes they are girls. I tried to tell her boys have eye lashes too but in cartoons they tend to give the girls long, curly eyelashes. She likes to ask "did someone make this?" about everything too. She'll ask that about food, a building, toys etc.

As a baby, Haylee was totally different then Natalee is. Haylee was always very cautious and rarely got hurt. Natalee is just the opposite. Little dare devil, not afraid of anything, always splitting her lip and bleeding. She is a hand full! Have I mentioned what a little trouble maker she is?

I have to say I'm extremely impressed that Natalee will sit on my lap for an hour during Kids Club and today she actually held still so I could cut her bangs. I think she is a typical baby in a lot of ways but I know Haylee didn't get into things or get hurt all the time like baby N.

I love that when Natalee is in a stroller she will just chill. She doesn't freak out being strapped in. She usually does very well, even for longer periods of time. But once you do let her out, she is gone. She doesn't even stop to see if I am anywhere to be seen she just takes off and doesn't look back.

I do not like that she constantly tries to climb out of restaurant high chairs.

I can't wait to see Natalee's expression when she sees all the animals at Sea World and both zoos. This will be her first time to any of those parks. She just loves animals like Haylee always has and I know they will both have a blast. Haylee went to Sea World and San Diego Zoo when she was 1 1/2 but none of us have been the Wild Animal Park.

This week seems to have flown by for me. That and I still have a 1/2 tank of gas...crazy!!!! I think just getting out of the house even if just for an hour helps. We ran to Fry's & Walmart Monday, Fry's Tuesday, I watched Jake Wednesday morning so both the girls played with him and then yesterday we went to Kids Club and were gone all morning. I love staying busy but I hate when I use a tank of gas a week.

Josh is at Lake Pleasant with some guys from work today. It's a company trip I guess. Tomorrow we are going to a birthday party and Sunday is date night! I've got to get Haylee a haircut before school starts and I have a list of several other things to do. Busy times!
