My Weekly Deals 8/30-9/5 + August Savings

The grocery ads this past week have been less than desirable. I have been to Fry's 1 time and that was for hamburger buns for dinner one night. That is it. I haven't shopped the sales at all because I can't find one thing I need/want. Sad week for Shelley. I did finally update my savings spreadsheet and have totals for the month of August.

The following numbers include anytime I shopped at Fry's, Safeway, Albertson's, Bashas, CVS, Target and Walgreens when I used coupons along with their advertised deals.

Total Out of Pocket= $233.25
Total Coupon Savings (this is just the face value of the coupon)= $298.68
Total Savings (Coupons, Bonus Coupons & Store Savings)= 814.32

Totals so far this year-

Total Out of Pocket= $1335.54
Total Coupon Savings (this is just the face value of the coupon)= $2587.96
Total Savings (Coupons, Bonus Coupons & Store Savings)= $6470.54

My total out of pocket this month was high but I have been stockpiling a lot this month. Several things like juice and cereal were rock bottom prices so I bought enough to last several months till those sales come back around.

My Weekly Deals 8/23-8/29

These are a few of my favorite things deals-

The 2nd week of the Mega at Fry's ends tomorrow. This past week I picked up a few more .99 Mott's, .49 Ocean Spray sparkling juice, .09 Old El Paso taco shells, .49 Welch's grape jelly and .49 Del Monte tomatoes. I also shopped the new sales and picked up .88 milk, Free La Looks gel, Free Dr. Pepper 1 liters, Free Powerade, and Free Bacon, Lay's Chips and Butter from Free Fry's coupons I got in the mail.

Walgreens has had a couple great deals lately. Last week I bought 3 Dove (bar of soap) at .99 each and earned a $6 RR. Love those awesome money makers! I did that twice. I then took those RR to Fry's to pay for my groceries. Today I got big bags of M&M's for .50 after coupon and RR and I got Trident gum for cheap. 6 packs for .50. Yippee for cheap candy.

At Safeway I got some more salad for .49 a bag and I picked up a .48 watermelon.

Sadly, I went back to Bashas again. This time I had a pleasant trip with no problems. I wanted to pick up some roasts that are B1G1 Free. I got 2 roasts, .97 strawberries and 3 Free Dr. Pepper 1 liters.

Looking back at my weekly deals it doesn't look like I buy actual dinner items or healthy food. I do, I use RR, Catalinas and overage to help cover the cost of all the ingredients for dinners, fruit and meat. This weekly post is mostly for me to remember the awesome deals I've gotten on select items, so I definitely don't list everything I buy.

My Weekly Deals 8/17-8/22

Currently Fry's is having a Mega event. This past week I got Free Sunny D, Free Lawry's marinade, Free Dial hand soap, Free Powerade, Free Old El Paso beans, .99 Mott's apple juice, .50 M&M 8 packs, .49 Sara Lee bread, .49 Pop Tarts, .49 Envirokids organic granola bars, .49 Del Monte tomatoes and .79 Old El Paso enchilada sauce.

Safeway brought .99 Capri Sun, .49 Fresh Express salad, .49 Marie's dressing and $1.57 milk.

Bashas was a disaster. I was going after the chicken which was $1.67 lb. and ended up getting a few other things which caused a major line back up and the lazy bagger boy wouldn't go check the price of the Nabisco snacks that were ringing up wrong. Nice. I don't like shopping at Bashas at all. Anyways, aside from the cheap chicken I got Free Dr. Pepper liters, .12 Nabisco cookies and crackers (because they wouldn't double the coupons to make them free), .50 Land O Lakes spreadable butter and .88 Langers juice.

This past week I stockpiled-

24 Powerade
13 Mott's
13 Sunny D
10 Lawry's Marinade
6 PopTarts
5 Sara Lee Bread (freezes great!)
5 Dial hand soap

Obviously I did not keep all of this stuff for me. My family benefits from me couponing too!

My Weekly Deal 8/8-8/16

It seems as if I have been stockpiling like crazy these past few weeks. Since I've been couponing for over a year now, I know when prices are good and when prices are really good. When they are really good, I stockpile. This week I stockpiled breakfast stuff- cereal, granola bars and cereal bars. Safeway was the store to be at this week and sadly Fry's was not. But starting tomorrow Fry's is having another Mega so I am super excited. And I see stockpiles of Mott's, Lawry's Marinade and Sunny D in the near future!

Safeway had the best cereal deal this week. When I find cereal for .49 a box, I stock up, and that is exactly what I did. 14 boxes of cereal (Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs and Honey Nut Chex) for .49 each. I also got cereal bars (Lucky Charms & Golden Grahams) for .49 each, Free Gardettos, Free Chex Mix, .25 Dial hand soap and Gatorade 6 pks. for $1.59.

At Fry's I used a couple of my Old El Paso coupons to get Free taco seasoning and .59 Taco Shells. I also got Free Ivory body wash, Free + MM Degree deodorant, Free Nabisco cookies (small packs), .88 Yoplait 4 pks., .25 Wolfgang Puck coffee drinks, $1 granola bars, .49 Welch's grape jelly, .79 1/2 gal. milks and .99 Best Foods Mayo (after catalina).

I went to Walmart once this week to price match some produce. I got lettuce for .33 and grapes for .76 lb. I also got Langers juice for .99, Free + MM first aid kits, Free + MM Pert Plus and clearance summer dresses for the girls for $3 each!

This past week I stockpiled-

14 Wolfgang Coffee Drinks (for my mom and brother)
14 Boxes of Cereal
14 Boxes of Cereal Bars
8 Boxes of Granola Bars
6 Bags of Chex Mix

My Weekly Deals 8/1-8/7 & Weekend Recap

I wasn't going to do a "My Weekly Deals" because honestly, I haven't been to Fry's since the new sale started last Wednesday (except to pick up Cottonelle yesterday). So, this will be short and sweet!

Monday and Tuesday I adventured to Fry's to stockpile sugar, Qtips and Beggin Strips. The Qtips were .99 each for the 375 ct. The C & H sugar was on "closeout" for $2.34 so $1.34 after coupon for the 5 lb. bag! That was my favorite deal. And the best of all...Beggin Strips. They were on sale for $4.19 B1G1 Free. I also had B1G1 Free coupons (up to $3.99) so I paid .10 a bag. And it gets better. When I bought 8 bags (paying .80) I got a $5 catalina. Then I turned around and bought 6 more (paid .60) and got a $3.00 catalina. Woo Hoo for FREE + HUGE MONEY MAKER dog treats. Jackson should be set for awhile. The Cottonelle deal I did yesterday produced a $3.50 catalina so I ended up paying $5.98 OOP (I used my $3.00 catalina from the Beggin Strips) and then I got the $3.50 Catalina. That was for (2) 12pk double roll Cottonelle packs. Good deal.

And onto our weekend..... Saturday I woke up with a horrible pain on my left side. It only hurt when I stood up but it drove me nuts because I had so much to do and I couldn't do anything except sit on the couch. After about 5 hours it magically disappeared. I have no clue what it was. That afternoon we went to Zac's 9th Birthday Party. I remember holding him when he was just a baby. How'd he get to be 9? He loves Star Wars!

We swam, ate and had cake and ice cream.

The cutest thing ever was Kaleb sharing his watermelon with Natalee. She followed him around and if he didn't give her a bite fast enough she stole her own. They were so cute together.

Me and Haylee got our hair cut yesterday. It's been 16 months since Haylee got her haircut and her hair just grows so fast.

The picture on the left was after her last cut on April 7, 2010 and the picture on the right was before we went to get her hair cut yesterday. I wanted more cut off but it was hard to show the lady once Haylee was up in the chair. Oh well, at least it's not touching her bottom anymore when I wash it.

My Mom watched the girls after that so Josh and I had lunch at Moreno's and then went to see Crazy, Stupid, Love. We liked it, it was a funny movie. After that we went to get Haylee a little 1st day of school surprise. I can't believe my little girl starts school tomorrow!

My Weekly Savings 7/25-7/31 + July Savings

This week I made trips to Walmart, Target and Fry's.

Last Monday I fought and argued till I got my way at Walmart. I have never in my life fought with the manager of a store, let alone 2 managers, but I knew I was right and I was following the rules. Luckily I had my bases covered and everytime they made up a lame excuse I proved them otherwise by showing them THEIR policy. I stood my ground and the last manager finally said (almost yelling) "fine, but never again!" and walked away. That is awesome customer service. My cashier was on my side saying everything was legit and she was even surprised at how the manager acted. Anyway, I was price matching diapers from Babies R Us and I ended up getting 8 packs of Huggies for $18 + tax.

At Target I picked up some Poptarts. I never see a deal on Poptarts so I have been stocking up this month since sales and stacking coupons have made some awesome deals. I paid $1 a box and picked up 6 boxes.

I made a trip to Fry's last Tuesday to get one more Mega run in. I got FREE Sunny D, FREE Kraft Mac & Cheese, FREE Floss, Cheap Avocados (.64 for 3), .25 Tampico Punch and .68 Chips Ahoy. The new sale that started Wednesday brought FREE Toothbrushes, FREE Ivory, FREE Crest (Plus $2 Catalina for every 3 purchased= Money Maker!), Cheap Ground Beef ($18.72 for 14 lbs. of 93/7), 4 Boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios & 2 Gallons of Milk for $3.52, .88 Cans of Fruit, .25 Bandaids, .25 Perioxide and .79 Platex Sippy Cups.
(July 27th Trip = $3.85)

(July 30th Trip = $24.96)

Yesterday I did my last mini trip using competitor coupons since it was the last day Fry's was accepting them. I bought 2 Coconut Milk, 3 Wishbone Dressing, 3 Toothpaste and 2 lbs. of ground beef. I paid $1.15 and received a $2 catalina for the Crest. The bagger girl said "I pay that much for a candy bar and you just bought 9 things!" I went out with a bang!

This past week I stockpiled-

18 Crest Toothpaste (Giving Most of These Away)
11 Ivory (5 Body Wash & 6 3pk Soap)
14 Oral B Toothbrushes
14 lb. of Ground Beef 93/7
6 Boxes of Pop Tarts

My Weekly Deals 7/18-7/24

My trip last Monday resulted in some overage from Reach floss and Gillette shaving cream. I paid $4.19 for the 40 items below which is a 95% savings.
Oh, and the awesome benefit of using coupons? I got a long receipt which had 2 of the advertising coupons on the back for a FREE 12" 1 Topping Pizza! Woo Hoo for FREE pizza.

I have been rocking Walmart left and right this week. That is very rare. I think I've only scored big at Walmart 1 other time. I price matched the Bic Soleil razors from Albie's and scored 9 packages (2 different trips) which resulted in $9 overage. I also stocked up on Herbal Essence shampoo, conditioner and stylers because they were FREE at Walmart after coupons and price matching from Albie's. Here I thought paying .49 for the Herbal Essence last week was a good deal! And lastly, I stocked up on Advil that was FREE plus overage after coupons. This has just been a week of stockpiling for sure! With my overage I bought Haylee a poster frame for her Tangled poster, eggs and cinnamon apple straws, yummy!

Yesterdays trip to Fry's was a complete success. I love being able to get everything I go after and having a nice, easy trip! I finally got the rest of my FREE M&M's (definitely a necessity), FREE 3 Musketeers, FREE Huggies wipes (with my raincheck), FREE Sunny D, FREE floss, .17 Kleenex, .45 Pringles (can never have too many), $1.57 for a gallon of milk, .79 Brownie Crunch cereal and .49 Hormel chili. Along with a few other things. I paid $10.46 for 57 items and saved 86%.

I love building my stockpile. This past week I've done awesome stockpiling. Here are some of the things I bought quantities of...

24 Herbal Essence Products (6 Shampoo, 6 Conditioner and 12 Stylers)
21 Pringles
18 Advil 10 ct. On-The-Go Tubes
18 M&M's
11 Sunny D
11 Twizzlers
9 Shaving Cream
9 Minute Maid Frozen Treats
9 Bic Soleil 4 pks
8 Huggies Wipes
6 Kleenex

Of course these were not purchased at 1 store or in 1 trip. And I am not keeping all of this for myself. I share with my family. In fact, my mom and my brother check with me before buying anything since I have a "mini Fry's" they say :)

My Weekly Deals 7/11-7/17

Target has been the place to be this week. I'll start with my trip last Thursday. I went to pick up 2 of the .50 pillows (after coupon) and I brought the new coupons Target released that morning to see if I could find any deals. Well, I definitely did! I used the $2/1 coupons to get each girl a pair of pants for $2 each, I used the $3/1 coupons to get me 2 pairs of jeans for $1.98 each and I used the $2/1 coupons to get graphic tees for .48 each. What a smokin' deal. I even went back again that night after printing out more coupons to get each of my nieces a pair of pants and a shirt.

Then, I ran in Target Friday to pick up my FREE Papermate pens and FREE Sharpies and I saw a clearance section marked 75% off with all sorts of summer stuff. Most of it was flying off the shelves but I picked up some awesome freezable water bottles ($1.24) and a drink dispenser ($1.49). After that, I was hooked. I went to my Target in QC to find the shelves completely stocked but only 50% off. I decided I would try 1 more Target which was wiped out so I went home. I thought about it all that night and decided I would go back to my store first thing Saturday morning. It must have been freaper intuition, because when I got there they had just marked everything down to 70% off. I was in heaven! Talk about luck, 70% off and fully stocked shelves!!!!!

At Fry's I was still stalking up on Keebler cookies (.18 each), Keebler crackers (.49 ea.), FREE Goldfish and V8 Fusion (3 for $1.98) until that sale ended Tuesday. Then, since the new sale started Wednesday I've gotten 10-12 pks of Coke & Dr. Pepper for $9, .99 Sara Lee pies, FREE Ritz on-the-go, FREE Tic Tacs, FREE Tombstone pizzas, FREE Hefty One Zip bags, FREE Rotel, .53 for a gallon of milk, FREE Kool-Aid Canisters, FREE Nutterbutters, FREE Haribo gummy bears, FREE 3 Muskateers, .19 Banquet meals, .50 Kraft marshmallows, .77 Strawberries and .77 lb. for peaches. And, I have 2 more transactions to do tomorrow for more soda. I'm stockpiling Josh with 20-12 pks and I told him it will have to last till next July. I really never buy soda unless it's a smokin' deal like this. I can't pass up .80 for a 12 pack of Coke!

My Weekly Deal 6/20-6/26

Is it sad that I get so excited about Keebler Cookies being .18 a package and Keebler Crackers being .49 a box? Ok, don't answer that. I think it was the highlight of my weekend! This was my Sunday Fry's trip-

This is what I bought and how much I paid for each item after coupon(s).

1 Eggo .99
4 Keebler Crackers .49 ea.
2 Bagels $1.50 ea.
2 Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade Free
4 Pepperidge Farms Goldfish .50 ea.
4 Pepperidge Farms Goldfish Grahams Free
2 Dole Salad .88
1 Annie's Chocolate Chip Cookies .50
5 Keebler Cookies .18 ea.
6 Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Free after Catalina
1 Nesquik Powder .19
4 Santa Cruz Lemonade .25 ea.
2 Cantaloupe .88 ea.

1 Kroger Sour Cream $1
4 3 Muskateers Free
3 Tic Tacs Free

Total OOP $15.00
Savings of $81.98
Earned $3 in Catalinas for Ben & Jerry's

Fry's has had some awesome deals this week when combining competitor coupons and manufacturer coupons!

I also went to Target this week. They have KC BBQ sauce for .99 so FREE after coupon.  And I stacked a Target coupon with a manufacturer coupon to get Ritz Crackerfulls for .40 a box. I've been wanting to try those!

I went to Albie's for the .49 Old Orchard Cranberry juice, but only because I was right next to one when running other errands. Otherwise, I wouldn't have wasted the gas for 2 items.

Lastly, I went to Kohl's Saturday. Sadly, the medicine I'm on and the extreme heat made me feel very yucky. I thought I was gonna pass out to I grabbed a few things quick and headed to the register. I used a $10/$20, my $10 Kohl's Cash and my 30% off coupon to get me 2 shirts, Haylee a dress and Natalee a cute halter top. I paid $1.50!!!
So that was my exciting week of shopping. I am praying for some super awesome 4th of July sales this week! In the mean time, I have a lot of Keebler cookies to eat! :)

My Weekly Deals 6/12-6/19

Even though I've been slacking typing up my favorite deals, I have not been slacking taking advantage of the deals! And let me just say that the best part of our staycation in Scottsdale this past weekend was me finding a "secret" Fry's that obviously no couponers shop at. I got all the FREE Huggies wipes I needed and I also got my FREE John Freida, both things that are no where to be found around here. I was behind this lady who's total was $238 + and the cashier asked if she had a Fry's card. She said no and so the cashier asked if she wanted one. The lady again replied no. Well being the nice smart person that I am, I handed over my Fry's VIP card because not only did it save her almost $30 (which I'm sure she could careless about) but I got 200 points towards my gas fill ups!!! Smart move.

Ok, back to my weekly deals.

Not this past weekend, but the weekend before (the 12th) I rocked Kohl's and I'm so happy with what I got! I had Kohl's Cash, a 30% off coupon, $10/$20 coupons and gift cards. I bought myself a dress, 3 shirts and a pair of capris. I also bought Haylee a dress and Josh 2 shirts. I spent $31.25 OOP, received $10 back in Kohl's Cash and saved a total of $204.17. That is why I shop at Kohl's...besides the fact they have cute clothes!

Fry's has been rather slow but there were unadvertised deals to be had. Oh, and rain checks to fulfill! I finally got my FREE Nivea lotions! I also picked up .19 Nesquik powder, FREE Nutterbutters, FREE Sun Chips, 4 pk of Nestle Drumsticks for .34, FREE Seattle's Best coffee drinks, .25 Santa Cruz Lemonade, .29 for Ben & Jerry's pints, FREE Tic Tacs, FREE Tombstone pizzas, .50 watermelons, .88 strawberries, .34 pineapples and .99 Juicy Juice.

Albertson's had a pretty awesome deal this week too. I spent $4 OOP for 4-6pks of Danonino yogurts for baby N and then I received a FREE gallon of milk and a coupon for B1G1 Free admission to Sea Life aquarium. We haven't been to the one here so I might take Haylee girl.

I also went to Walmart this past week. I price matched the 3 pk Magnum bars and got those for .99 after coupon. Yummy! I also got my brother some cat food for .57 a box and the applesauce on-the-go I buy Natalee was on rollback for $1! I was so happy about that. It's usually $2.34 for a 4 pk.

My Weekly Deals 5/31-6/6

This week Safeway surprised us with a "mega" of their own so I've been to Safeway twice this past week to take advantage of some great deals. I stocked up on Mac n Cheese for .59 a box, got a couple boxes of Cheez Its for .99 a box, Knorr spanish rice for .29 a bag, Sobe for .27 and Golden Graham/Lucky Charms treat bars for .49 a box!

Fry's ads have been pretty sad lately. I did get my brother 24 containers of Whiskas cat food for .04 ea. after catalina. That was probably my favorite deal of the week. Today I went and got my .79 gallon of milk ($1 off dairy item ecoupon), .58 Ragu, FREE strawberries, FREE Sun Chips (they mailed me a coupon from a FB offer), $1 Dannon yogurt, FREE Ronzoni pasta and FREE Kroger fruit loops. Nothing too exciting.

My Weekly Deals 5/23-5/30 + May Savings

Just when I thought I've seen it all.....I got a new diaper bag for $2.98 (regularly $24.99) from Babies R Us! Sheryl posted Friday that there was a $10 off coupon for diaper bags and that the clearance diaper bags were included! I picked up 2 of these diaper bags (only ones available at my BRU) and paid $6.50 total!

Fry's has a few good deals this week. I was so excited to get Santa Cruz lemonade for .25 a bottle, too bad it tastes like poo. I also picked up Wheat Thin Stix for .67, Milano Melts for .67, mustard for .49, another $1.88 watermelon, 4-12pks of Coke for $7.88, FREE Oscar Mayer hot dogs, FREE Aquafresh toothbrushes for the girls and I finally used my rain check to get FREE Nivea lotion. I'm finding my Fry's to have less and less thanks to "extreme couponers" but I think I found a great Fry's that is really stocked!

At Safeway I just got my FREE Jack Daniels BBQ sauce. Some for me and some for my brother. It's his favorite.

At Wal-Mart I picked up Pull-Up wipes for .64 (and they are Princess ones!), FREE Nexcare bandaids, FREE Cottonelle wipes, $1 White Cloud tp and a FREE tank top for my Mom. There are coupons in the All You magazine for $5 off a Just My Size item and they have tank tops for $5. Hooray for FREE clothes!

Walgreens was suppose to have a few good deals this week but everytime I went to get an item there was a sign saying "sorry for the inconvenience, we failed to order enough product that we put in our ad because we're idiots....." but I was excited to get 6 bags of Oxy Clean tabs for .50 each and just in time since my rain check expires today!

I also did a little shopping that wasn't so freap but I still used coupons and got great deals. Target had flip flops for baby N for $5 and flip flops for Haylee for $2.50 so I bought them each 2 pairs for summer. I also went to Kohls and got 2 shirts, a cute summer dress and a pair of capris for me. After merchandise credit and part of a gift card, I paid nothing out of pocket and I even got $10 in Kohl's cash! Yippee.

You can check the matchups on Sheryl's site to see where I found the coupons to score these great deals. I advise you to visit her site once a day so you don't miss out on awesome deals!

I've been getting my freap on! I get so excited when I go to the store and they actually have what I went after! But, if they don't I just make sure I get a rain check. As a couponer, a rain check is my best friend.

Fry's is having their frozen food mega event this week. They also have a couple other great deals this week and I've been there twice so far. Some of my favorite deals this week are FREE ibuprofen, FREE Colgate toothpaste, FREE Ben & Jerry's (after catalina), FREE candy bars, FREE Dasani, FREE Pillsbury Grands (after catalina), .50 Farmer John bacon, Lawry's marinade for .49 a bottle, $1.88 watermelon and .39 for 3pk Magnum ice cream bars (I've heard these are to die for). Fry's is still taking competitor coupons and all coupons are $1. I love Fry's.

I actually went to Walmart this week too. I finally found the 3pk Ivory soap which is FREE after coupon. While I was there I price matched the 6pk Propel water from Bashas which I got for $1 after coupons. I got some of these free last week at Fry's and Josh loves them!

I also went to Albie's this week. I haven't been there in a long time. All coupons are $1 there too so I was able to get Trix for .49 a box! While I was there I found the 2pk El Monterey burritos which I had coupons to get FREE and I also got Haylee some Jolly Time popcorn which was .49 a box after coupon.

Yesterday I ran to Walgreens and scored some cheap swim diapers for little Natalee. They have their Huggies swim diapers for $6.99. I stacked a $2/1 coupon with a $2/1 Walgreens coupon and got them for $2.99 a pack. That's a smokin' deal! While I was there I got FREE Carefree and FREE Scunci ponytails (after RR).

My Weekly Deals 5/1-5/9

This weeks My Weekly Deals will be easy. I already showcased my Fry's run on Sheryl's site if you wanna see the details.
I bought 83 items. Paid $19.99 and saved $108.16.

I was able to find the Clean & Clear body wash at Walgreen's which is free this week. They are B1G1 Free and I had B1G1 Free coupons which makes them all FREE and I just paid tax. Not that it was as easy as it sounds. I had to educate Walgreen's about their coupon policy first!
Lastly, Safeway has the BEST deal on juice (ending today). Their Welch's Essentials are $1.49 when you buy 4 and I ordered $1/1 coupons (because they were regional and AZ didn't get them) which made for .49 juice!! And these are the big 64 oz. size. This was my favorite deal this week! While I was there I picked up a couple Dasani that were also FREE after my .50/1 coupons. Yummy FREE water!
Oh, and I more thing. I was excited to finally order the 2011 Entertainment Book. Sheryl posted a deal yesterday to get it for $12 with FREE shipping and I got 40% cash back for going through Shop at Home. I've been waiting for a deal on these because it pays for itself super fast.

My Weekly Deals 4/25-4/30 + April Savings

These are some of my noteable deals for the past week. Keep in mind, I get all of these deals by following thecentsableshoppin.com. Sheryl posts deals for everything you can imagine as well as doing matchups for each grocery and drug store.

At Fry's I was finally able to use my raincheck to score the new Ziploc Versaglass containers. I was able to get the big ones FREE with $3/1 coupons and all of the other sizes were $1 with the $1.50/1 coupons. I also got my FREE Goldfish crackers, FREE McCormick seasoning, FREE Haribo gummy bears, cheap Foster Farms chicken, FREE Dasani water, FREE SmartWater and FREE Lunchables (thanks to Circle K tearpads!). I'm still looking for FREE Reach toothbrushes and FREE Listerine Pocketpaks but so far my store has been wiped out.

I've been watching Walgreens like crazy for the Oxiclean Tabs and I finally found 2 bags. They were .50 ea. after stacking a Wags coupon and a Manufacturer coupon. I throw these in with the girls clothes for an extra boost.

At Safeway this week I picked up Dole fruit bowls for little Natalee at $1 ea. I also got OreIda sweet potatoes fries for .99 a bag. Lastly,  I got my milk there this week for $1.79 a gallon. I guess I shouldn't say my milk because I don't drink milk. But both Natalee and Haylee do. They are good little girls :)

That's all the excitement for the past week. Most of my weekend was spent researching and buying a new TV and TV stand at which I could not use coupons for to get super cheap. :(

My totals for April are in. The following numbers include anytime I shopped at Fry's, Safeway, Albertson's, Bashas, CVS, Target and Walgreens when I used coupons along with their advertised deals.

Total Out of Pocket= $197.10

My Weekly Deals 4/12-4/17

It's Monday! You know what that means?

I have been shopping like crazy this past week. And it's not just because I'm prepping for a birthday party. I have been loving the deals this past week.

For the first time I went over my weekly budget. I started this year making a budget and giving myself $50 cash a week for groceries, toiletries, diapers, formula etc. I have always had extra each week until this past weekend. Oops. I guess birthday party stuff for over 30 people is part of the reason, but the other part is that there were great stock up prices on a few things so I built my stockpile up.

I'll start with Fry's. The notable deals at Fry's this past week were....free Dole salad kits, free Snicker's eggs (think Easter!), Farmer John Bacon for .50 ea., 2 boxes of Trojan for $1.39 ea. (just trying to prevent baby #3 for now), free Bird's Eye veggies, free Green Giant veggies, free Suave deodorant, free Seventh Generation paper towels, free Lysol Nuetra Air, .25 Lysol wipes, a dozen eggs for .49, can veggies for .25 ea., and grapes for .74 lb. Oh, and 2 old, mean people behind me in line. Grrrr

Safeway had a few awesome deals as well this week. I got more fruit snacks (I tried to get the healthy, all fruit roll ups for Natalee this time) free, free Mentos gum, Marie Callendar meals for $1 ea. and Fruity/Cocoa Pebble treats for .49 ea.
CVS had a smokin' deal on paper towels. For some reason, my store had their brand, 12 roll packages for $1.49. They also had Scott brand paper towels for $2.49 after coupon. While I was there I picked up my .59 Shamrock milk and my free Antibacterial hand sanitizer which is very handy since Josh has strep.
Between Food City and Bashas I stocked up on sugar at $1.44 & $1.50 a bag. Very rarely do I see sugar on sale so I wanted to take advantage of that! While at Bashas I got ground chuck that was on sale for $1.99 lb. and free Shamrock chocolate milk singles for my Haylee girl.

On to Staples, I got a ream of paper for $4.99 + tax and then I turned around and submitted my Easy Rebate for $5.99. Yay for free paper.

Those were the most notable deals this week. I obviously bought a lot more than I listed but it'd take all day to list everything :) Most of the above deals are running through tomorrow. You can check the matchups on Sheryl's site to see where I found the coupons to score these great deals. I advise you to visit her site once a day so you don't miss out on awesome deals!

Bad Fry's Experience

Today I had my first bad experience at Fry's. I've been couponing for 8 months now so it was bound to happen. Funny thing is, it was the rude people behind me, not a rude cashier.

4 coupons (.50/1 Green Giant) wouldn't scan so my cashier had to call the manager up. This older couple behind me start mumbling something and then she looks at me and says, "I use coupons, but not like that!" and is all ticked off because there is a problem. I asked my cashier if she wants me to go to customer service and get it figured out and she tells me no. The rude lady says, "ya, we think you should." When the manager comes up the older lady starts going off about coupons and how ridiculous this is. The manager stuck up for me and said, "there is nothing wrong with using coupons!" So rude lady goes off, "well then maybe you should fix your system so that is excepts the coupons. You know, she offered to go up to customer service and the cashier said no. How much will this save her? We'll just pay for it. We want out of this line!" I didn't know what to say. Both the cashier and the manager kept apologizing to me and reassured me I had done nothing wrong which further irritated rude old lady, "oh, so you tell her sorry..." Geez lady, I'm just trying to save my family some money. I'm sure I spent less than you on my entire cart full of groceries than you did on your 10 items.

It's times like this where I thought of plenty of things I should have said but I was speechless when it happened. Usually the people behind me are shocked at the savings and want to know how I know all the tricks. Obviously these people woke up on the wrong side of the bed!

My Weekly Deals 4/6-4/11

Another slow week for deals.

I went to CVS to use my raincheck and get my FREE Listerine. They had them on sale for $1 a week or 2 ago and I had $2/2 coupons so I got 4 FREE.

Walgreen's had their Color Wonder's on sale last week for $1.50 so I used the $1/1 coupon we got 4/3 and got 3 of them for .50. I also picked up 2 Purex detergent for .99. They were on sale for $1.99 and I had some $1/1 coupons. I decided to try this for our sheets and towels.

Safeway has Roman Meal bread for $1.50. With the .75/1 IP I got 2 loaves for .50 each! I also got some boneless skinless chicken breast which they had for $1.99 lb. These items are on sale though tomorrow.

At Fry's I got 2 Dole salad kits for .99, a FREE box of Pillsbury Savorings I won from the last instant win game, 4 FREE Yakisoba, 12 FREE Snicker Eggs, 6 FREE Skittles, and 6 Marie Callendar's meals for $1 each.

Walmart had Similac Sensitive marked down to $3.84. I got 6 of them using my $5/1 coupons which made them FREE + gave me overage towards the other things I bought. While I was their I picked up 5 of the 2-pack 3-in-1 Purex Sheets for FREE. They are .97 and I used my $1/1 coupons which also gave me slight overage.

The most exciting thing was the deal I found all by myself at Walmart. I called Sheryl tonight as soon as I left and she posted it right away! They have the Toy Story 3 Operation for $5. Well coupons.com just released a $3/1 coupon yesterday. Even better, there are big tearpads in the game section that state "Get a FREE TOMBSTONE PIZZA when you buy ANY Hasbro game". So $2 for the game AND a FREE Pizza!!!! Sweet! While I was there I found the Connect 4 travel games for $5.24 and there is a $3/1 coupon for that too making it $2.24. Stocking up for Christmas and Birthday's on the FREAP! Oh, and getting 6 FREE Pizzas! :)
And that's about it. I have a few things to go after at Target and other than that I'm just hoping Fry's has a good ad this week. These slow weeks with no deals makes me grumpy :)
